Dr. Sanjay Nishad, head of the Nirbal Bharatiya Shoshit Hamara Aam Dal (NISHAD Party) and cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, launched a scathing attack on the Opposition here on Friday for stalling the women’s quota Bill. He said women played a crucial role in the country’s independence, but the Opposition wants to prevent them from progressing.

Dr. Nishad said that the government’s primary objective is to make the country developed and self-reliant. He also prioritized bringing the deprived, backward, and exploited sections of society into the mainstream.

He said that providing education to children from poor and slum families is a key priority for the government. Dr. Nishad alleged that some people are playing politics in the name of the poor and are profiting from it, while the truly needy are not receiving the full benefits of government schemes.

Emphasizing the respect and rights of women, Nishad said that women have played a crucial role in the country’s independence and development. The government is committed to further empowering women and is continuously working towards strengthening their rights.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies, Dr. Sanjay Nishad said that the central government has taken important steps towards strengthening the country’s economy and making India self-reliant. He said that the Constitution provides for delimitation, and it should be implemented in a timely manner to ensure balanced representation in proportion to the population.

Taking aim at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Dr. Nishad said that the time has come for a change of power there.
