RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat claimed that only by following the path of the Gita, India can become a world leader. He also claimed that “the Gita is both the science of life and the solution to death”.

“The Gita inspires us to face problems instead of running away from them. We are sure to achieve success based on Dharma. Our ultimate duty is to overcome our dilemmas and serve our nation. This should be incorporated into our lives through the Gita,” he said.

The RSS chief and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared the stage at the Divya Geeta Prerana Utsav in Lucknow on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, the RSS Sarsanghchalak claimed, “Our India was the world’s guru. It was a great support to the world. There were times when there were even Chakravarti emperors. For thousands of years, we were trampled under the feet of invaders. We had to live in slavery.”

He further said, “Religious places were destroyed. Forced conversions took place, but India still existed. Those days of glory are gone, but the days of invasion are also over. Now, we are going to hoist the flag on the Ram temple. We have to fight to protect our religion. Peace in the world can only be established through the Gita.”

Citing the story of King Janak, Bhagwat, he explained that circumstances come and go, but we remain steadfast. “Just as Arjuna became obsessed in the Mahabharata, the world has become like that today. If one’s efforts are strong, luck also favors him. One must be a religious person.”

“When Arjuna said that if he fought, there would be great loss, destruction of the universe. Krishna replied, “You are running away. Whoever created the universe, whoever has to restore it, is doing so. You just fight. Face the problem head-on. Don’t look left or right,” he narrated.

“We should recite the Gita daily, its 700 verses. Learning from them will bring well-being to life. Today, the world is in a state of confusion; the Gita can provide the right direction. Without peace and contentment in life, problems will arise,” RSS chief said .

He further said that the Indian tradition embraces peace and harmony along with religion and the essence of knowledge is found in the Bhagavad Gita.

Speaking on the occasion, Gyananand Maharaj said, “The Gita is not destructive in the digital age; it remains instructive even today. Smart cities will be built when people become smart citizens, hence the Gita is essential.”
