Four women were killed and 26 persons injured, some critically, after a speeding tractor-trolley lost balance and overturned in the Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday night.
According to the police, the incident occurred at 8:30 pm near Khitrapal village under Vijaypur police station limits
The tractor-trolley was carrying several members of the Gurjar community from Ghughas village in Veerpur to Parvati Baroda for a traditional event when the driver lost control of the wheel and the vehicle overturned.
The deceased were identified as Saroj Gurjar (35), Sunaina Gurjar (27), Seema Gurjar (35) and Geeta Rao (52).
The injured were rushed to a hospital, where some were said to be in serious conditions.
