Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday attacked the Congress and the Samajwadi Party, saying that first India was looted by the Mughals, then the British destroyed it and whatever was left, the Congress and the Samajwadi Party created a new scene of destruction and created an identity crisis for the country.

“Today, due to the clear intention, clear policy and zero tolerance towards criminals of the double engine government, Uttar Pradesh has reached new heights of development,” he claimed.

CM Yogi made these remarks while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Shri Cement Plant, established at a cost of Rs 750 crore in Etah district.

CM Yogi said that whether it is Congress or Samajwadi Party, their intention was never for the development of everyone.

“They took everyone along, but developed only their family. During their time, neither the businessman nor the daughter was safe. This was the reason that the country and the state kept lagging behind,” he said.

He said that today, the Modi government and the double-engine UP government have given a new identity to the country and the state with the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.

CM Yogi said that 8-9 years ago, Etah was known as a stronghold of crime and mafia.

“The poor used to have their lands encroached upon; their pleas were not heard. When the property of the citizen is not safe, what will the government do for his welfare? This was the situation then. But today Etah has become a new identity for excellent law and order and investment,” the CM added.

He said that at the government level, 1500 MW of electricity is being produced from Jawaharpur Thermal Power Plant, and next to it, the Shri Cement family has set up a new plant worth Rs 750 crore. This has provided direct employment to 500 people and indirect employment to more than 3000 people, he said.

The Chief Minister said that this investment has not only provided direct employment, but thousands of people associated with transport, business, and distribution channels have also got work opportunities. This is the foundation of self-reliant India, this is the foundation stone of developed India.

The CM said that UP has so far attracted investment proposals worth Rs 45 lakh crores, out of which 15 lakh crores have been implemented on the ground. This has employed 60 lakh youth so far. He said that recently, 60,244 youths have been recruited into the police force, which also includes youths from Etah.

The CM said that Shri Cement is not just an industry, but is also fulfilling national responsibility. The Etah unit alone has provided free cement to 183 martyr families so far. CM Yogi said that when the Indian soldiers made the enemies bite the dust with their bravery and valor in Operation Sindoor, it was possible only when the whole country stood united. The contribution of Shri Cement strengthens this national sentiment.
