Lashing out at the exit polls by the media on the Bihar assembly polls, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh alleged that they were just conducted to demoralise the Opposition parties and their leaders.
“It is true, and we will have to accept that the BJP is manipulating everything as per their strategy and the exit polls are part of their plan,” he charged.
Addressing a press conference after the party’s state executive meeting here on Wednesday, Akhilesh Yadav stated that the agencies that conduct the surveys don’t disclose their sample size of the exit polls. “They have done the same thing in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections but the results were opposite of what the polls predicted. It was just an effort to demoralise the Opposition,” he added.
Commenting on the ongoing Special Intensive Revision ( SIR) in UP, he said, “The Samajwadi Party has made PDA prahari to guard the votes and rights of the people. We have decided not to be scared of SIR.”
Calling the SIR a conspiracy of the BJP to scare people so that they can’t question BJP, , Akhilesh Yadav said, “The government wants us to be entangled in unnecessary issues while the entire administration is busy making votes for the BJP,” he alleged.
“While the BJP people are roaming free, our PDA Prahari will report anomalies and we will report it to the ECI and demand action against officials who are not cooperating,” he said.
“On the other hand, SIR is being done so that the youth don’t start asking for jobs. After the SIR, they will hold panchayat polls and thereafter the assembly polls will be held in 2027. So, there will be no time left for raising any issue,” he added.
Reacting to the Delhi bomb blast, the SP president said, “The government has assured that they would take action against the culprits. But the question remains why intelligence failure is happening again and again.The government should suspend all the intelligence department officials.”
“Our CM is giving communal speeches when he thinks people and his own MLAs are against him.When he is scared, he starts giving communal speeches,” The SP president said, adding that the BJP government speaks on communal issues as and when it is afraid of the new generation.
“We have one year left for the assembly polls and we will work with sincerity.The BJP had promised Scooty in their 2022 assembly manifesto but where are the scootys,” he questioned.
