Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the BJP government on Monday, saying every section of society in Uttar Pradesh is suffering and feeling oppressed in the state.
“The government’s statistics are false and fabricated. The BJP is misleading the public with these false figures,” he said, adding that the BJP government has failed on every front and is protecting criminals.
In a statement issued here on Monday, Akhilesh Yadav said incidents of harassment against Dalits and women are continuously increasing with the victims not getting justice. Citing the murder of a young man from the Balmiki community in Rae Bareli as the latest example, he alleged that the government is pressuring the victim families to compromise to hide its failures.
He said that the BJP government is operating with a feudal mindset and flouting the Constitution and the law. Under the protection of power, powerful people are snatching land from the poor, while BJP members are encroaching on government land and indulging in the plunder of the budget.
Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP is misusing power to suppress the voices of the poor and the PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) community. Scared of the PDA’s unity, the saffron party is conspiring to weaken them. Job and reservation rights are being taken away.
Now that BJP’s false promises have now been exposed before the public, the people of the state are fed up with the BJP government’s corruption, discrimination, and injustice.
The SP president expressed the hope that in 2027 the people would remove the BJP from power and end its reign of injustice and oppression. A Samajwadi government will provide employment to the youth, facilities to the farmers, and justice to the poor.
