Asserting that the police force and officers must ensure that the menace of Naxalism does not re-emerge in areas of the state where it has been eliminated, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav directed officials to implement future action plans in such areas to carry out development and public welfare activities.
The CM was addressing senior police officials at the police headquarters in Bhopal during the ‘DG-IG Conference’ on Thursday.
The Chief Minister paid tribute to police personnel who laid down their lives in the fight against Naxalism and congratulated the force on the successful elimination of Naxal influence in the state. The Chief Minister reiterated instructions for regular field visits by officers and stressed that complaints from citizens at police stations should be handled with sensitivity and empathy.
During the conference, presentations were made on police-led research and innovations, with special focus on crime control, social policing, and good governance at the field level.
