Sleuths of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at six premises in Bikaner, reportedly in connection with suspicious international hawala transactions.

According to eyewitnesses and official sources, raiding parties reached the premises of Mohammad Sadiq in Kot Gate area around 5 am on Tuesday to carry out searches and investigations. The raids covered six different premises, owned either by Sadiq or individuals linked to him.

The ED team was also spotted at the residence of a former Congress councillor. The operation was conducted under tight security, with armed CRPF personnel deployed around the raid locations to prevent any outside interference.

Sources indicated that the raids were connected to hawala transactions. However, there has been no official statement from the ED.

Some suspected Palestinian links have also come under the scanner, though neither the ED nor other official channels have confirmed this connection.
