The Election Commission of India has launched a public consultation inviting citizens to provide suggestions aimed at enhancing the usability and functionality of its new comprehensive digital platform, ECINet. The initiative reflects the Commission’s commitment to leveraging technology to improve voter convenience and boost transparency in the electoral process, the poll panel said in a press note on Saturday.
Citizens are encouraged to download the ECINet App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and submit their feedback via the ‘Submit a Suggestion’ tab within the app. The feedback window is open from November 27 to December 27, 2025.
ECINet represents a major technological advancement, integrating more than 40 separate election-related applications and websites into a unified interface. This consolidation includes widely used tools such as the Voter Helpline App (VHA), cVIGIL, Saksham, Polling Trends (Voter Turnout app), and Know Your Candidate (KYC) App. The development of ECINet commenced after its official announcement on May 4, 2025.
Under the stewardship of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, a trial version of the app was successfully utilized during the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 and recent bye-elections. The full-scale official launch is slated for January 2026.
This public engagement marks a significant step in the ECI’s vision to make the electoral process more accessible, efficient, and citizen-friendly through innovative digital solutions.
