Describing Bihar as the epicentre of India’s democratic battle, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president MK Stalin on Wednesday blamed the ECI for becoming a toy acting according to the key, resulting in the mass deletion of 65 lakh voters in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, which was nothing but terrorism and murder of democracy.

“Can there be any worse terrorist act than disenfranchising the people in their own home state? Is it not annihilation to make them nameless and homeless even if they had all the required identity cards? But history shows that whenever Indian democracy faced a threat, Bihar had been in the forefront. Earlier, it was Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan, and now, it is my beloved brothers Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi (Yadav) who are carrying that task by leading the current struggle,” Stalin said, participating in the Vote Adhikar Yatra along with his sister and DMK MP, Kanimozhi.

“Rahul has exposed vote chori. But the EC has not been able to give a proper response till now. The BJP is striving hard to prevent victory from Rahul and Tejashwi through backdoor operations. CEC Gyanesh Kumar is threatening Rahul, who cannot be browbeaten. I have never seen fear in his eyes,” the DMK president said, adding, “The BJP is now pouncing upon Rahul because he had exposed how the saffron Parivar has made elections a laughing stock. People will deprive the BJP of the power with which it had been disenfranchising people.”

The DMK president said, “For the last one month, national attention had turned upon Bihar. This is the strength of Bihar and that of Rahul and Tejashwi. Your victory is a foregone conclusion, and that is why the BJP is trying all tricks to snatch it away. Bihar laid the foundation for INDIA Bloc in the 2024 LS poll, and this alliance had restricted those who dreamt of 400 plus at 240. Hence, Bihar should once again prove that people’s power will bring any dictator to his knees.”

Stalin also recalled RJD patriarch and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad’s uncompromising fight against the communal BJP and his cordial relation with the late DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi. “Despite being hauled over many cases, Lalu stands firm in his fight against the BJP and remains a tall leader in the country. He is a symbol of secularism and social justice,” he said.

“Standing with my brothers @RahulGandhi, @YadavTejashwi, Comrade @Dipanakar CPI-ML, and beloved sister @PriyankaGandhi, I declared that BJP cannot crush people’s power by deleting voters or by hijacking institutions. #Bihar is where the #INDIA bloc was born, and Bihar is where #BJP’s arrogance will be buried. This is the spark that will light the next chapter of India’s democracy,” he later wrote on his ‘X’ handle.
