After a day of intense heat, recording the first warm night conditions of the season across two stations of Delhi, the weather department on Tuesday issued a warning of Dust storms followed by thunderstorms across several places in the national capital.

Squally weather is likely to take over Delhi during the next two hours, according to officials from the India Meteorological Department.
Strong gusty winds blowing at 30-40 kmph, accompanied by light rainfall and lightning, are expected in areas across Delhi, including Mundaka, Pashchim Vihar, Punjabi Bagh, Rajauri Garden, Jafarpur, Nazafgarh, Dwarka, Palam, and IGI Airport.

The Met department has also forecast drizzles for Bahadurgarh in the NCR region.
On Tuesday, Safdarjung and Ayanagar recorded the first warm night conditions of the season as the minimum temperatures in the national capital touched 28.4 degrees and 29.1 degrees, respectively, departing 4.6 and 5.4 degrees above normal.

Despite the warmer temperatures at isolated stations, weather officials said that “warm night conditions will not be declared over Delhi,” as this is the first day of such elevated minimum temperatures.

Meanwhile, Delhi also reported strong dust storms on Monday night, between 8:15 and 9:15 pm, with wind speeds reaching up to 61 kmph from the Pragati Maidan area, according to IMD officials.
