BJP National President Nitin Nabin, who is on a two-day visit to Lucknow to oversee preparedness for the 2027 assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, suggested party leaders not make any statement against the government or the organisation as it would only fuel the Opposition.

Speaking during a meeting with former BJP state presidents at the Taj Hotel here on Sunday, Nitin Naveen said, “The former BJP state presidents should contribute to the organization’s work. The party should benefit from his experience in the assembly elections.”

He discussed the political experiences of former BJP state presidents and shared his own experiences. “The series of conversations and meetings with former state presidents will continue,” he declared.

He suggested to State President Pankaj Chaudhary and Organization General Secretary Dharampal Singh to increase the responsibilities of former state presidents in the organization’s work.

Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Water Power Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Ministers Bhupendra Singh, Laxmikant Bajpayee and Ramapati Ram Tripathi along with several former BJP state presidents were present in the meeting.

On Saturday evening, the BJP chief held a meeting with state officials at the party headquarters. He gave the newly-appointed state officials the goal of winning the 2027 UP Assembly elections under any circumstances. “The bugle for the 2027 Assembly elections has been sounded. Large processions will not achieve anything,” he said.

He further said, “To win elections, you must go among the people and talk to them. If you solve their problems, you will win their hearts. Winning the public’s hearts is crucial in politics. The elections are approaching, so we must work together with a team spirit. Instead of fighting among ourselves, we must fight the opposition parties. Test your strength against the opposition.”

Earlier, while interacting with MPs and MLAs, the BJP president appreciated the Yogi Adityanath government and said, “The government is doing excellent work under the leadership of CM Yogi. We must take the achievements of the Yogi government to the public. We must contest the elections on that basis.”

He warned, “The Opposition wants to set a narrative against the government and the organization. We must not give the Opposition any opportunity to point the finger at the government or the organization. We must publicly defend the government and the organization’s actions.”

Asking the BJP leaders to be wary of Opposition tactics, he said the Opposition is conspiring to divide society. In view of the upcoming elections, the Opposition is again trying to play the caste card. The Opposition wants BJP workers to forget their core ideology of nation first and divide themselves along caste lines (Brahmin, Rajput, Kayastha, Vaishya).

Mr. Nabin said that the Opposition is trying to suppress the government’s achievements through social media and perception. Millions of youth in Uttar Pradesh have found employment through the central and state government’s public welfare schemes. Crores of beneficiaries are directly connected with the government. Despite this, if we are unable to convert this strong support base into votes, it means we have limited communication with the public. The Opposition is waiting to take advantage of this.

He urged all MPs and MLAs to leave their offices and reach out to the public. They should take credit for development projects by becoming their own architects. They must be present at every small and large organizational meeting. With collective hard work over the next seven to eight months, the opposition is sure to be wiped out.

In 2027, the BJP will once again form a double-engine government in Uttar Pradesh with a thumping majority.

Meanwhile, on Sunday afternoon, Nitin Nabin had lunch at the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, sitting on a cot and discussing the 2027 elections over mangoes.

He was accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Organization Minister Dharampal Singh, General Secretary BL Santosh, and State Vice President Neeraj Singh, along with several senior BJP leaders. After having lunch at Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak’s residence, the National President went to the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal.
