The divisional level seminar of the Indian Education Board was held at Kalyan Singh Habitat Centre, Aligarh at 2.00 pm on November 20, 2025. The keynote speakers at the seminar were Dr. N.P. Singh, former IAS Chairman of the Indian Education Board, Chief Guest Mrs. Sangeeta Singh, Divisional Commissioner, and Special Guests Mr. Manoj Giri, Joint Director, Basic Education, and Mr. Rakesh Kumar.
The program began with the lighting of lamps with Vedic mantras. The keynote speaker, N.P. Singh, Chairman of the Indian Education Board, retired IAS, discussed in detail with the managers/principals/representatives of schools from across the division about the need for the Indian Education Board. Mr. Singh stated that in the modern Western educational environment, there is a lack of Indian culture and values. In India, students are constantly experiencing moral decline.
The core mission of the Indian Education Board is to develop quality, cultured, and virtuous children by connecting them with Indian culture, the Vedas, Shastras, Upanishads, the Gita, spiritual teachings, modern computer science, and the essence of nature. This requires a shift in mindset from the dazzling materialism of the mind. He urged everyone to affiliate their schools with the Indian Education Board if they are to make India strong, cultured, and a world leader.
As the chief guest, the Divisional Commissioner stated in his address that inculcating values in children is primarily the responsibility of parents and ideal teachers, but the environment also influences this. Therefore, we should not be overly attracted to schools with large, well-equipped buildings; we should return to the ancient Vedic culture. Therefore, schools should be affiliated with the Indian Education Board and children should be admitted.
