A political controversy has erupted over Congress Rajya Sabha Member Digvijaya Singh’s social media post, in which he has posted a photo of one side of a road blocked by Kanwar Yatra, and another picture of a policeman kicking a Muslim offering namaz on the road.
Singh has captioned the two photos, ‘ek desh, do kanoon!’ (one country, two laws). The former MP CM’s post on Facebook has resulted in sharp reactions from the BJP.
Madhya Pradesh Sports Minister Vishwas Sarang criticised Digvijaya Singh, saying that the Congress leader always tries to create disturbance and controversy during Hindu religious festivals.
Sarang alleged that Singh always opposes the Sanatan Dharma and its followers, and that is why he is known as ‘Maulana Digvijaya Singh.’
Sarang averred that any such derogatory comments on Hindus and Sanatan culture would not be tolerated at any cost.
