Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed profound grief over the tragic cloudburst in the Dharali region of the Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand, calling it “deeply distressing and heart-wrenching”.
In a statement issued on Wednesday evening, Sai said, “I pray to Lord Badri Vishal for the safety and well-being of all those affected by this natural calamity.”
He acknowledged the swift and coordinated rescue and relief efforts being conducted under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the close supervision of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. “Due to timely and dedicated action by state and central agencies, hundreds of lives have already been saved,” he stated.
Reaffirming Chhattisgarh’s support, CM Sai said, “The government of Chhattisgarh stands firmly with the government of Uttarakhand and the affected families in this hour of crisis. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who are enduring this tragedy.”
