Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Praveer Ranjan on Friday visited Patna to review the preparedness of the force’s units deployed for the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections and to meet the personnel injured in a recent bus accident.
The DG and accompanying officers visited the hospital in Patna where the 24 CISF personnel, who had been injured in the accident in the Saran District, were undergoing treatment.
Ranjan was accompanied by Sudhir Kumar, ADG North Sector, Deepak Verma, IG Eastern Sector, Jitender Rana, IG Patna Range (Bihar Police); and Raj Kumar, IG Bihar Sector (CRPF).
The senior officials of the forces interacted with the injured personnel, inquired about their well-being, and wished them a speedy recovery. They also assured them all possible assistance and support from the force.
Ranjan also met DGP Bihar Police Vinay Kumar and discussed the deployment of CISF companies for ensuring peaceful conduct of the elections.
Later, he chaired a conference with the Battalion Commanders of CISF companies deployed for poll duties, reviewed their operational preparedness, and motivated them to deliver their best in ensuring free, fair and peaceful elections.
The DG CISF also called on Pratyaya Amrit, Chief Secretary, Government of Bihar and held discussions on land acquisition for the proposed CISF Recruit Training Centre, Reserve Battalion, and Group Headquarters in the state.
