Prime minister Narendra Modi has said that Uttar Pradesh is today becoming a perfect example of the mantra of “development and heritage”. In a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the occasion of UP Diwas on Saturday, he wrote the state’s progress will give new impetus to the country’s development.
The PM’s letter was read out by the CM during the UP Diwas programme at Prerna Sthal here in the presence of Union Home minister Amit Shah, who was the Chief Guest of the event.
“Today, January 24, is Uttar Pradesh Day. I extend my heartfelt greetings to all the residents of Uttar Pradesh on Uttar Pradesh Day. I am the Member of Parliament from Kashi, and the people of Uttar Pradesh have elected me to the Lok Sabha, making this day even more special for me. The love and affection I have received from the people of Uttar Pradesh is a great asset to me,” the prime minister said in his message.
Modi, in his two-page letter, wrote, “There’s something special about the soil of Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh has always fueled the nation’s development with its strength and talent. I’m delighted that our Uttar Pradesh is today becoming a perfect example of the mantra of ‘development and heritage’.”
