After the Red Fort blast killed 13 on November 10, 2025, and the Government of India declared the unfortunate tragedy a ‘terrorist incident’, the house of the accused, Dr Umar Un Nabi, was demolished by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, officials said.
Nabi is alleged to be a part of a terror module linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH), which was alleged to be involved in the Delhi Red Fort blast, which injured several people.

The high-intensity blast ripped through a slow-moving car near Delhi’s Red Fort area on Monday evening. The police and officials alleged that Nabi was driving a Hyundai i20 that was full of explosives. His identity was confirmed after DNA samples collected from the blast site matched those of Dr Umar’s mother.
On connecting dots, the investigators found out that there is a missing Brezza car, linked to the Red Fort bomb blast prime accused Dr Umar Un Nabi, that has been recovered at Al-Falah University in Dhauj, Faridabad, on Thursday.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police, which busted the ‘white collar’ Jaish-e-Mohammed terror module on November 10, 20205, investigated the car.
When the bust took place, it was found that the Red Fort blast accused, Dr Nabi, and a few other associates worked at Al-Falah University.
According to reports, the terror module was working on a larger conspiracy to carry out simultaneous attacks across several cities before being busted.
Delhi Police has registered a case under various Sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Explosives Act, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Nabi had allegedly arranged several cars for the attacks. He used a Hyundai i20 in the Red Fort blast.
Earlier on Wednesday, another car linked to him, a red Ford Eco Sport, was also recovered from a farmhouse in Haryana.
Who was Umar Un Nabi, and plot details
Known for his academic achievements in his circle, Umar allegedly adopted radicalism in the last two years. Investigators said he was a part of several radical messaging groups on social media.
Hours after the terror module with links to proscribed Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind was busted, and eight people, including three doctors, were arrested.
In the bust, around 3,000 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, potassium chlorate and sulphur were seized. The terror module spanned across Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
A key foreign handler, Ukasa, is supposed to be the primary connection between the Delhi-based module and Pakistan-backed terror networks.
The plot originated in Turkey in 2022, where Umar and three associates — all linked to JeM and AGuH — spent time. The partakers communicated via Telegram; the group later shifted to encrypted apps like Signal and Session, as per media reports.
As far as the Indian government’s reaction is concerned, in a stern message to the perpetrators of the Delhi car blast, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the citizens of Bhutan recently, said that all those responsible for the terrorist incident will be given strict punishment.
The recent Delhi Red Fort blast, which occurred on November 10, 2025, near the Red Fort metro station, is being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Several individuals, many of whom are medical professionals, have been identified or arrested in connection with a “white-collar” terror module.
Besides Dr Umar Nabi, the other accused in the case include Dr Muzammil Ganaie, Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather, Dr Shaheen Sayeed, Dr Ahmed Mohiyuddin Saiyed, Irfan Ahmad, Maulvi Hafeez Mohammad Ishtiaq and Sajad Malik.
