In the backdrop of the ongoing probe into the Delhi blast near Red Fort that claimed 13 lives, the Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Tuesday carried out pre-dawn raids at multiple locations across the Kashmir Valley. The raids were simultaneously carried out in the Srinagar, Anantnag, and Kulgam districts.

Multiple wings of J&K Police, including the CIK, State Investigation Agency (SIA), and others, have been investigating the white-collar terror case in which some local doctors were found to be involved.

A team of CIK in the Kulgam district reportedly searched the house of a cardiologist. The CIK personnel reached the village early in the morning and carried out extensive searches at the doctor’s house.

The locations raided include Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital and the Super Specialty Hospital in Srinagar, reports said.

While an official statement on these raids is awaited, sources confirmed the searches were connected with a terror conspiracy case.
The operation highlights continuing efforts by security agencies to dismantle terror support networks operating under the cover of professional and civilian identities in Jammu & Kashmir.

A ‘white collar’ module consisting of some doctors was recently busted in Faridabad by J&K Police in coordination with Haryana Police. The lead to the doctors involved in the terror module was given during their interrogation by two overground workers (OGWs) of the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror outfit after some anti-national posters were found in Srinagar.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited the injured at a local hospital in Nowgam this morning. He reviewed their treatment and interacted with doctors and attendants.

He directed the best possible medical care for them, reaffirming that the well-being of the injured remains an immediate priority.

Nine people, mostly cops, were killed, and 32 others were injured when the explosives brought from Faridabad exploded in the Nowgam police station.
