28 bikers arrested in New Delhi for reckless driving
At around 3.30 am on Wednesday, a patrolling team alerted the staff of the Parliament and Kartavya Path Street Police Station about the 28 bikers who were indulging in negligent and rash driving.
Mafia don Mukhtar Ansari’s daughter-in-law, Nikhat Ansari was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Police in Chitrakoot on Friday night after she was charged with conspiring with her jailed husband Abbas Ansari.
Police here on Saturday said Nikhat was arrested, while she had reached the jail on Friday to meet her husband without registering her name in the prisoner’s visitor’s register.
Abbas Ansari has been detained in the District Jail Ragauli for almost the past two months in the money laundering case.
District Jail was raided by District Magistrate Abhishek Anand and Superintendent of Police Vrinda Shukla on Friday during which some objectionable items including mobile and Saudi Arabian currency were recovered during the search of Nikhat, who came to meet Abbas.
During the search, Nikhat also threatened the police team after which she was taken into custody from outside the jail by women constables.
An FIR was registered against Nikhat, her driver, and 5 others at Karvi Kotwali police station under Sections 387, 222, 186, 506, 201 and 120B of the IPC.
