The Congress party on Tuesday expressed grave concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar, stating that criminals appear to have no fear of the law and are roaming freely.
Criticizing the education system in the state, senior party leader Kanhaiya Kumar alleged it has “completely collapsed” under the JDU-BJP regime.
“The education system in Bihar has completely collapsed. The place renowned for Nalanda University and where Gautam Buddha achieved enlightenment has now suffered a serious decline in the field of education,” Kumar asserted.
“Nobody is feeling safe in the state as the criminals are having a free run. All those involved in organized crime have assumed political power and are now operating through sharpshooters who are extorting money from the people,” Kumar alleged.
The Congress party’s criticism comes amid growing concerns over the law and order situation in Bihar.
Kumar alleged that the BJP is running the show in Bihar, and the state government failed to maintain law and order. He also highlighted the plight of the education system, citing examples of colleges with inadequate infrastructure and universities that had become “centres of loot and corruption.”
Asserting that it was time for a change in the state government due to its failure to address pressing issues like law and order and education, Kumar also paid homage to two students who recently lost their lives.
