Congress Rajasthan unit president Govind Singh Dotasra has accused the BJP-led state government of rampant corruption in transfer postings and other public-centric services.
Addressing the media at the party’s state headquarters this evening, Dotasra said, “People from all strata of society are perturbed. The incumbent government is not at all concerned about public service and governance. The CM and ministers only follow directives from New Delhi.”
He alleged that the so-called “parchi system” of approvals operates at three different levels of the government and ruling dispensation, leaving citizens uncertain about the authenticity and clearance of services.
Citing the recent transfer list of school principals, Dotasra claimed that around 5,000 principals were transferred through a multi-layered corrupt process.
He said the Education Department initially prepared a list of 800 names for forwarding to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), which grew to 1,100. The list was then allegedly expanded to 1,700–1,800 at the RSS level before returning to the CMO.
Finally, when sent to the Secretariat for issuance, the list contained around 3,500 names—after another 1,000 were allegedly added by officers and brokers.
“I can state assertively that rampant corruption was involved in this transfer process, which began in January and took nine months to complete,” Dotasra alleged.
He urged people to join hands with the Congress to uproot what he described as a “corrupt BJP government,” which, he said, came to power by misleading voters with false promises during the Assembly elections.
