Congress leader Pawan Khera Thursday questioned the timing of the CRPF’s letter, suggesting it might be an attempt to intimidate Rahul Gandhi.

“The timing of the CRPF’s letter and its instant public release raise disturbing questions. Is this a veiled attempt to intimidate the Leader of the Opposition, who has already announced another imminent disclosure? Is the government rattled by the truth he is about to reveal?” Khera said in a post on handle X.

The Central Reserve Police Force’s letter written to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has raised concerns over repeated breaches of security protocol by Rahul Gandhi during his foreign visits. The letter, which was also sent to Gandhi, highlights the potential risks associated with his security lapses.

The CRPF has pointed out that Gandhi, who enjoys Z+ security cover with Advance Security Liaison (ASL) cover, has failed to comply with mandatory protective measures on multiple occasions. According to the CRPF, Gandhi did not inform his security team about his foreign tours, which could expose him to potential risks.

Rahul Gandhi has been leading the charge against the BJP’s alleged “Vote Chori” and the Election Commission’s complicity. The CRPF’s letter comes amidst these allegations, sparking concerns about potential political motivations behind the force’s actions.
