Union Home Minister Amit Shah Wednesday alleged that the Congress party’s past actions led to the creation of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), and it is the BJP’s duty to reclaim it.
Shah’s remarks came during a debate on Operation Sindoor, a military operation conducted by the Indian Armed Forces in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
Delivering a fiery speech in the Rajya Sabha, the home minister pointed out, “You gave away Pakistan occupied Kashmir and it’s our duty to take it back.”
Shah’s statement underscores the BJP’s commitment to addressing the long-standing issue of PoK. He highlighted the success of Operation Mahadev, which resulted in the killing of the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack. “The identity of three terrorists killed in Op Mahadev established Lashkar-e-Taiba’s hand in the Pahalgam attack.” Shah asserted.
As Amit Shah began his reply to the special debate on Operation Sindoor, the Opposition staged a walkout in the Rajya Sabha over the absence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the House.
Later, Shah continued his speech and slammed the Opposition for alleged inaction against terrorism during the UPA government.
