The Congress has on Monday demanded that the RSS be named in the FIR following a Kerala software engineer’s alleged suicide over claims of sexual abuse.

Addressing a press conference today, Congress leader Pawan Khera condemned the administration for omitting the RSS from the FIR despite explicit allegations. He raised concerns about child safety at RSS camps and accused the group of hiding abuse behind cultural nationalism. Khera also criticized the political protection RSS enjoys due to its ties with the current government and called for a thorough, impartial investigation, naming RSS explicitly.

The suicide of 26-year-old Kerala software engineer Anandu Aji, who accused members of the RSS and BJP of childhood sexual and physical abuse in a final Instagram post, has ignited political uproar. Anandu named an individual “NM” and described how the abuse led to lasting trauma and his death.

The case highlights urgent demands for transparency and accountability within influential organizations in Indian society and politics.
