The Congress has alleged large-scale vote tampering in Bihar’s recent assembly elections, with Congress leader Jairam Ramesh claiming that the results reflect “vote chori” on a massive scale, masterminded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the Election Commission.
Ramesh said in a post on handle X, “Without doubt the election results in Bihar reflect vote chori on a gigantic scale – masterminded by the PM, the HM, and the Election Commission.”
He added that the Congress will continue its fight to protect the Constitution and save democracy.
The Congress has been alleging irregularities in the electoral process, including discrepancies in voter lists and EVM tampering.
Ramesh had previously accused the Election Commission of acting as the BJP’s “B-team” and demanded an explanation for the deletion of 47 lakh voters from the electoral rolls.
The Bihar election results show the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leading with over 200 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan alliance trails by a distance. The Congress has vowed to continue its protests and demands for a re-evaluation of the election process.
