Congress accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of misleading the public and not fulfilling promises made to the public.

“The situation of the country is really bad. PM Modi ahead of the LokSabha elections had made tall promises, which he has now failed to fulfill in the last four years. His promises have turned out to be nothing but political gimmick,” said Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.

He was addressing a gathering during the launch of the second phase of ‘Hisab de sansad, Jawab de sansad’ campaign at Panchrooki assembly constituency in Kangra district on Sunday.

After demonetization and the implementation of Goods and Sales Tax (GST), employment has been badly hi, inflation has jacked up which has affect the livelihood of the common man, he said.

“NarendraModi has not only misled the public but also cheated the public. His promises on controlling inflation and employment generation have fallen flat, he alleged.

He claimed that the public has made up their mind to ouster the BJP in the next LokSabha elections in 2019.

He blamed the four Member of Parliament of Himachal Pradesh for having failed protect the interest of the state and to take up the issues of the state and the concern of the public with the central government.
