Several leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav, expressed deep sorrow over the sudden demise of Prateek Yadav, the younger son of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.
In his condolence message, Chief Minister Yogi said, “The sudden demise of Pratik Yadav ji is extremely saddening. My condolences are with the bereaved family.”
He further said, “I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant salvation to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense loss.”
Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav was deeply moved by the passing of his stepbrother, Prateek Yadav. He said that Prateek’s passing is a huge loss for the family.
Speaking to reporters at the KGMU post-mortem house, Akhilesh Yadav said, “Prateek Yadav is no longer with us. We are very sad. He was a young man and from childhood, he was health conscious and wanted to move forward in life. He was a very good boy who wanted to achieve something through his hard work. It is very sad that he is no longer with us.”
Yadav said his last meeting with Prateek was about two months ago. “Even then, I told him to take care of his health and grow his business. Sometimes, financial losses can be devastating,” he added.
On the next course of action, Akhilesh Yadav said, “Naturally, we will abide by the law and the family’s wishes. I cannot change today’s date. He is no longer with us; we will do whatever the family says.”
Earlier, BJP State President Pankaj Chaudhary also expressed his condolences, saying, “The news of the passing of Prateek Yadav, son of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Padma Vibhushan late Mulayam Singh Yadav, and husband of Aparna Yadav, Vice President of the Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission, is extremely saddening.”
The party has also postponed the protest programme by eomen agaibst the SP over Women reservation in Lucknow , slated today.
Chaudhary conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family. “May God grant the departed soul a place at His feet and give the family the strength to bear this immense loss,” he prayed.
Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee State President Ajay Rai also mourned the demise of Prateek Yadav and offered condolences to the breaved family. He prayed, “May God grant the entire family the strength to bear this loss.”
Thirty-eight-year-old Prateek Yadav was brought to Lucknow’s Civil Hospital at 6 am on Wednesday, where doctors declared him dead. The cause of his death will be known only after the post-mortem report is released. He was involved in the real estate and fitness businesses and was the husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav.
