Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stating that the intelligentsia is the leadership class of society, capable of guiding progress through their talent, said, “If the intellectual class rises to lead society, no power in the world can stop that country and society from moving forward.”
Speaking at the Prabuddh Sammelan organized by BJP Metropolitan as part of Seva Pakhwada on Sunday, the Chief Minister highlighted PM Modi’s call during the Amrit Mahotsav year of Independence to envision India for the centenary celebrations in 2047. This India should fulfill the resolutions of ancestors, the dreams of the present, the aspirations of future generations, and be self-reliant and developed.
CM Yogi urged citizens to rise above divisive politics and make development a part of daily life, engaging everyone—young, old, workers, farmers, businessmen, men, and women—in discussions. He also called on intellectuals to make institutions focal points for gathering public suggestions for the vision document, noting that three district-level and five state-level suggestions will be honored.
He said India will progress when Uttar Pradesh develops, and UP will prosper when Gorakhpur, its villages, and towns thrive.
Highlighting reforms in governance and revenue, he said corruption was curbed, leakages stopped, and GST simplified tax collection. The economy is set to reach ₹35-36 lakh crore this year. Migration from UP has reduced significantly, with 90% of the population now finding work locally, including 2 crore in MSMEs, 6 million in employment schemes, and 8.5 lakh in government jobs.
Education and health have expanded, with 51 private universities and improved medical facilities. Agricultural productivity has increased, with farmers now harvesting three crops annually and earning higher profits. Infrastructure projects include defense manufacturing, pharma and medical device parks, irrigation facilities, and advanced THR plants, empowering 60,000 women.
CM Yogi stressed self-reliance, clear policies, and collective resolve, citing the Ram Temple construction and Article 370 abolition as examples of India’s determination to progress.
