Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka met with Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at Parliament House on Wednesday to formally invite them to the upcoming Telangana Rising Global Summit in Hyderabad. The two-day event, scheduled for December 8 and 9 at the proposed Bharat Future City, aims to spotlight Telangana’s ambitious “Telangana Rising 2047” vision.
Developed in collaboration with premier institutions like the Indian School of Business and NITI Aayog, the vision document outlines a comprehensive multi-decade roadmap targeting a USD 3 trillion state economy by 2047. During the meeting, CM Reddy briefed the Congress leaders on the plan’s focus on balanced growth across the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE), Peri-Urban Region Economy (PURE), and Rural Economy (RARE) sectors.
The invitation forms a crucial part of Telangana’s strategy to make the summit a national and international platform, with the Chief Minister having already extended a personal invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Several Cabinet ministers and MPs have been tasked with reaching out to Chief Ministers and key political and corporate figures across India to ensure wide participation.
The Telangana government expects the summit to host over 3,000 global delegates, including industrialists, economists, diplomats, and experts, positioning Telangana as a burgeoning hub for investment and innovation. Sources reveal that around 4,500 invitations have been dispatched, with about 1,000 confirmations received, reflecting strong interest in the state’s developmental ambitions.
