The Uttar Pradesh government is making constant efforts to ensure international-standard facilities for the Buddhist sites.

In this sequence, a modern clean street food hub and green belt are being constructed and beautified on Rishipattan Road of Sarnath.

Amarendra Tiwari, Chief General Manager of Smart City, said here on Tuesday that 108 meter long clean street food hub and green belt are being constructed on Rishipattan Marg (near Suheldev intersection) at a cost of about Rs one crore.

Under this, a total of 24 state-of-the-art shops are proposed to be constructed. About 100 people are expected to get employment from this project.

He said that complete infrastructure would be prepared and handed over to the shop owners, so that the local vendors can operate their business without any inconvenience.

Apart from this, a proper seating arrangement is also being developed around the shops, so that the tourists can sit in a peaceful environment and enjoy the local cuisine.

This initiative in Sarnath is an important step towards the overall development of Kashi region, where the UP government is paying special attention to the preservation of cultural heritage as well as the expansion of modern facilities.
