The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has intensified the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of electoral rolls through a camp-based digitization drive across all wards in the city.

As part of the exercise, enumeration forms are being distributed to voters and completed forms are being collected through camps set up at the ward level. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are conducting door-to-door outreach and organizing camps in their respective areas to facilitate form distribution and submission, helping expedite the revision process.

District Election Officer-cum-BMC Commissioner Chanchal Rana has appealed to all eligible voters residing within the BMC limits to actively participate in the exercise. Voters who have already received the enumeration forms have been requested to fill them accurately and submit them at the designated camps. Those who have not yet received the forms have been urged to collect them, provide the required information and submit them by June 20.

To ensure maximum public participation, BMC has launched an extensive awareness campaign across the city. Eminent personalities from various fields, including artists, film personalities, sportspersons and other distinguished citizens, are also encouraging people through different media platforms to cooperate with the ongoing voter roll revision drive.

Officials said the exercise is aimed at ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the electoral rolls ahead of future elections. BMC has urged all eligible voters to participate actively in the process, emphasizing that an updated and inclusive voter list is essential for strengthening democratic governance.

The civic body reiterated that public cooperation is crucial for the successful completion of the revision exercise within the stipulated timeframe.
