Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai positioned the state as an emerging hub of investment opportunities at the prestigious Investor Connect in Osaka, showcasing its abundant natural resources, skilled workforce, and industry-friendly policies. Presenting Chhattisgarh as a trusted partner for Japanese investors, he invited global businesses to be part of the state’s growth story driven by innovation, sustainability, and shared prosperity.

A significant development at the forum was the announcement of a $11.45 million (₹100 crore) investment proposal from Sartaj Foods, Osaka, to set up a food processing unit in Chhattisgarh. The project is expected to provide a major boost to the food processing sector, generate large-scale employment, and create new opportunities for farmers, further reinforcing the state’s growing reputation as an agri-based economy.

In a series of Business to Government (B2G) meetings, Chief Minister Sai also held discussions with Naoyuki Shimada, President and Representative Director of Morabu Hanshin, a leading Japanese company in skilled engineering, system development, and workforce solutions. Talks focused on partnerships in skill training and workforce exchange, with the aim of enhancing Chhattisgarh’s skill ecosystem and preparing its youth for global opportunities.

State officials underlined Chhattisgarh’s competitive advantages, including abundant mineral wealth, a streamlined single-window clearance system, world-class industrial infrastructure, and investor-friendly reforms. Japanese stakeholders particularly welcomed the state’s proactive policies and incentives in food processing, advanced technologies, and workforce development.

Reiterating his government’s vision, Chief Minister Sai said, “Chhattisgarh is committed to offering an investor-friendly ecosystem where global partners can find both opportunity and support. With Japan, our partnership is built on trust and shared values. The collaborations discussed in Osaka will not only bring investment but also empower farmers, create jobs, and strengthen the foundations of a developed Chhattisgarh.”
