Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, on his official visit to South Korea, held high-level talks in Seoul with the leadership of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), the country’s largest trade body representing over 77,000 member companies. The discussions, centred on investment, technology transfer, and skilling, underscored Chhattisgarh’s growing push to position itself as a global industrial hub under its Industrial Policy 2024–30.
On this occasion, CM Sai highlighted the strength of Chhattisgarh’s rich natural resources, and skilled human capital. He engaged in extensive discussions on potential avenues of investment, technology transfer, and skilling.
“Our ties with South Korea are not merely economic but also cultural and historical,” CM Sai remarked. “This dialogue opens new doors for collaboration in investment, technology, and skill development. It will provide opportunities for Chhattisgarh’s youth in modern industries and accelerate the state’s industrial growth.”
The Chief Minister stressed that the state government is fully committed to providing investors with a facilitative environment, speedy clearances, and necessary infrastructure. He expressed confidence that collaboration with KITA would give Chhattisgarh a new identity on the global industrial map.
During the meeting, KITA Chairman Jin Sik Yoon and Vice President Kim Ki Hyun expressed deep interest in Chhattisgarh’s investor-friendly policies and abundant resources. They said Korean companies are enthusiastic about exploring opportunities in the state and will take concrete steps towards partnerships in the near future.
CM Sai noted that this cooperation will directly benefit farmers, workers, and local entrepreneurs. Investments in food processing, electronics, automobiles, steel, and renewable energy will generate thousands of jobs, while technology transfer will enhance the quality and competitiveness of local industries.
CM Sai concluded that Chhattisgarh’s partnership with KITA has the potential to transform the state’s economic landscape, bringing in global technology, large-scale investments, and new opportunities for its people. By combining Korea’s innovation with Chhattisgarh’s resources and skilled youth, he said, “this collaboration will not only redefine the state’s industrial growth but also set a new benchmark for India–Korea economic cooperation in the years to come.”
