Chhattisgarh is positioning itself as a rising hub for healthcare, wellness and tourism, with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announcing over ₹3,119 crore worth of fresh investment proposals that promise to generate more than 7,000 jobs. Addressing the Chhattisgarh Care Connect programme in Raipur on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said the state was moving beyond its traditional base in steel, cement and minerals to carve out a new identity in service-oriented sectors.

Sai underscored that the reforms undertaken in the last 18 months have shifted the focus from “ease of doing business to the speed of doing business.” He said the new industrial policy, coupled with investor summits at home and abroad, had already attracted investment proposals worth nearly ₹7.5 lakh crore in just ten months. “In sync with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat, Chhattisgarh will not only be a power and mineral hub but also a leader in healthcare, hospitality, tourism and AI-driven industries,” Sai remarked.

Healthcare dominated the Care Connect event, with eleven major projects, including proposals by Bombay Hospital Trust, Ginni Devi Goyal Manipal Hospital, Maa Padmavati Institute of Medical Sciences, and Neerganga Hospital, together accounting for more than ₹2,466 crore in investments and 6,000 jobs. The tourism and hospitality sector also drew ₹652 crore in proposals, led by projects such as the Westin Hotel Raipur and Amuseorama Amusement Park.

Sai further highlighted initiatives such as the development of Medicity in Naya Raipur, a proposed pharma hub, and an upcoming AI Data Centre Park. “Chhattisgarh is centrally located, rich in resources, and now backed by single-window ‘One-Click’ clearances. We are ready to welcome industries that will shape the economy of tomorrow,” he said.

Industry Minister Lakhhan Lal Dewangan credited the proactive approach of the Chief Minister, including international outreach in Japan and South Korea, for the surge in proposals. Senior officials, industrial leaders and tourism representatives were also present at the Raipur event.

Chief Minister Sai expressed confidence that partnerships forged through Care Connect would propel Chhattisgarh into a new era of growth. “The state offers unlimited opportunities for investment, and together with industry, we will write a new chapter in development,” he said.
