Amid concerns about the adequate availability of LPG and CNG among commercial consumers, the Centre has allotted an additional 10 per cent quota to Rajasthan to meet demand.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, who was in New Delhi on Wednesday, made a formal request for additional allotment of LPG and CNG to fulfil consumer demand, an official spokesperson said here on Thursday.
“There is no crisis as far as the availability of gas is concerned. We have adequate stock, and consumers should rest assured that we will not put them in trouble of any sort,” the spokesperson said, quoting Chief Minister Sharma.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has convened an all-party meeting of delegates from all political parties, including the ruling BJP and the principal Opposition Congress, later this evening.
The meeting, under the chairmanship of Sharma, will review the availability and demand situation, as well as the overall supply of gas, petroleum products, and other essential items.
The Congress has already announced that it will hold a demonstration here on Friday to highlight the problems and grievances of consumers.
