Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, during his visit to the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington in Tamil Nadu today, emphasized the crucial role of Tri-Services synergy in modern military operations. He linked this synergy to the success of Indian armed forces during Operation Sindoor.
General Chauhan addressed the student officers of the 81st Staff Course, the permanent staff of the College, and station officers. The ongoing 45-week course includes 500 student officers, with 45 officers representing 35 friendly foreign countries.
While interacting with the College faculty, General Chauhan underscored the imperatives of integration and jointness, capability development, Aatmanirbharta (self-reliance), and the need for a comprehensive understanding of the transformative changes underway in the Indian military.
During the visit, the CDS was also briefed by DSSC Commandant Lt Gen Virendra Vats on the ongoing training activities at the College.
The briefing highlighted the emphasis on fostering jointness and inter-services awareness, particularly through the institutionalisation of the Deep Purple Division.
