CBSE verification and re-evaluation portal is now LIVE! Here’s how students can apply

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has finally activated the long-awaited portal for Class 10 and 12 students seeking verification of marks and re-evaluation of board exam answer sheets, bringing relief to thousands of candidates who had been waiting amid repeated delays and technical disruptions.

The online facility went live on Tuesday after concerns over portal glitches and cybersecurity vulnerabilities pushed back the earlier launch schedule. The board confirmed that students can now begin submitting applications through the official online system.

The move comes at a crucial time as lakhs of students await clarity on their final scores for college admissions and competitive examination cut-offs.

Portal launched after technical delay

CBSE had earlier planned to open the verification and re-evaluation process from June 1. However, the launch was postponed after technical problems surfaced during the answer-sheet access phase.

In an update shared through its official communication channels, CBSE Headquarters informed students that the portal is now operational and advised them to carefully follow the application instructions before submitting requests.

The board has also released a step-by-step video guide to help students complete the process without errors.

Who can apply?

Only those students who have already obtained photocopies of their evaluated answer books are eligible to move ahead with verification or re-evaluation requests.

Before applying, candidates have been instructed to review the official marking scheme and question papers uploaded on the CBSE website. Students can then identify specific answers they believe require reassessment.

How to apply for verification and re-evaluation

Step 1: Visit the CBSE portal

Students must log in to the official CBSE re-evaluation and verification portal using their credentials.

Step 2: Check eligibility

Candidates should confirm that they have already received scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets before proceeding further.

Step 3: Review marking scheme

CBSE has advised students to compare their responses with the official marking scheme and question paper before filing any request.

Step 4: Select verification or re-evaluation

Students can choose either:

  • Verification of marks
  • Re-evaluation for specific questions

Step 5: Upload details and justification

Candidates applying for re-evaluation must specify the exact questions they want reassessed and provide valid reasons for reconsideration.

Step 6: Pay the required fee

Applications will only be accepted after successful online fee payment.

Step 7: Submit before deadline

Students have been advised not to wait until the final hours, as the portal will remain active only for a limited period.

Limited application window: According to the board, the online facility will stay open for at least two days after the final scanned copy of an evaluated answer sheet is uploaded for students. Candidates have been advised to monitor official updates regularly to avoid missing deadlines.

Cybersecurity measures tightened: Following concerns over system vulnerabilities, CBSE said cybersecurity specialists from multiple government agencies and the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have been deployed to strengthen the platform’s security framework.
