The Central Board of Secondary Education on Wednesday declared that two board examinations – one each for class 10 and class 12 – will be conducted again. The decision came in the wake of the reports of paper leak.
The students of Class 10 will sit for mathematics re-examination and Class 12 students will have to write economics exam again. The new dates have not been given yet.
After announcing that the exams will be re-conducted, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said on 28 March that the government was conducting an internal inquiry into reports of paper leak and that a new system would be put in place from Monday to ensure no leaks take place.

The Delhi Police’s crime branch has begun investigating the alleged leak after registering two separate cases in the matter.
The development regarding the re-examinations has left students and their parents furious. Disappointed people are venting out their anger on Twitter saying their faith in CBSE is shaken. While many urged that the students must not suffer, because of the mismanagement by CBSE, some pointed out that the students, who are now busy with the preparations of entrance exams, will have to sacrifice their time because of this development.
Here are some of the reactions:
#CBSE shame on you.why should lakhs of students suffer because of your negligence. all of our efforts wasted just because of few corrupt officials. instead of torturing us..take actions against your own corrupt officials.. re exam won’t help when it is the system who is at fault

cbse retest: Why should students pay for the failure of the Authority (CBSE)? Shouldn’t some people hang for this? Use the nearest lamp post. Please people, dont make this a political issue. It’s about the future of India.

#cbse….
Cbse announced to reconduct board exam of class 10th and class 12th ( maths & economics respectively). The reason behind all this is paper leak due to irresponsibility of the board… The 28lakh students are suffering due to this…. C. B. S. E.— Jatin Sharma💖💕🙌 (@jatin1010sharma) March 29, 2018
