Following Rahul Gandhi’s controversial statement about Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers have launched protests across the country. A massive protest was also witnessed in Kashi on Thursday against the Congress leader’s statement .
BJP Backward Class Front workers, led by Kashi region vice president Anup Jaiswal, led the protest, raising slogans and taking out a procession. They also burned an effigy of Rahul Gandhi.
Strongly reacting to the statement of the leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Anup Jaiswal chanted “This friend of China, Rahul Gandhi is a traitor” before burning burning his effigy with a burning mobile phone. He said the frustration and disappointment of losing elections repeatedly has made Gandhi mentally ill. He forgot that 1.4 billion Indians elected Narendra Modi as Prime Minister. Today, the country is moving forward on the path of development, and the public has left the Congress party behind.
