Union Minister Suresh Gopi on Monday said that the BJP will make massive strides in the Kerala Assembly polls.

Speaking to a Malayalam news channel, Gopi said there would be “many surprises” when the results of the Assembly elections are announced on May 4, expressing confidence that a significant number of BJP and allied candidates will win.

He said that those who govern Kerala going forward would have “sleepless nights,” adding that there would be members in the Assembly who could directly question those who allegedly “stole Sabarimala gold” and demand its return.

Gopi also said that the country is moving towards a Uniform Civil Code. Referring to amendments related to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), he said that if the figures are accurate, there is nothing to fear, and questioned why those without benami transactions should be worried.

Later, addressing an election rally in Pala, he urged voters to elect NDA candidate Shone George to the Assembly. He also appealed to voters in Poonjar to cast their votes in favour of NDA candidate PC George.
