BJP to boycott RS till notice withdrawal

Statesman News Service |

New Delhi, 8 August: The BJP today said the party will continue to boycott the Rajya Sabha until the Parliamentary bulletin naming its members for trooping into the Well of the House protesting Defence Minister A K Antony’s statement on LoC killings is withdrawn.
“We will continue the protest,” said BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu. Hardening its stand against the Congress, the BJP also ruled out any cooperation with the government.
“ We have seen that this government is partisan and vindictive. They cannot expect any support from us on any issues,” he said.
BJP MP Smriti Irani, who was named in the notice, said: “I will wear this as a badge of honour.  No notice can compel me to praise Pakistan after the killing of five soldiers by them.”     pti
