Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav has leveled a serious allegation against the distribution of pre-printed Form-7s in villages under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. He said a conspiracy was being hatched to remove the names of Opposition voters from the electoral rolls by filing fraudulent objections through these forms.

Posting on his social media account on Sunday, Akhilesh Yadav said in many cases, the complainant is untraceable, yet names are being removed, using forged signatures. He alleged that the PDA community and minorities are being specifically targeted in this process. Many voters are unaware that objections have been raised against their names, even though all their documents are in order.

The SP president appealed to the Court, the Election Commission, and all journalists to take cognizance of this “massive scam.” He also urged national and local media, YouTubers, and local news personnel to expose this alleged conspiracy in the interest of democracy.

Akhilesh Yadav said that his party will bring such cases to the attention of the nation and the state and will support those who practice honest journalism.
