Several women stopped the car of a ruling BJP MLA touring his constituency to complain about the dire shortage of water and electricity in their Shivpuri district village in Madhya Pradesh.
The incident occurred in the Pichhore constituency when BJP MLA Pritam Lodhi was visiting areas in his constituency.
The women gheraoed the MLA’s vehicle and demanded that their long-standing demands of drinking water and power be fulfilled immediately.
They even cautioned the MLA that he would not get their votes in the future if their demands were not met with.
Some women complained that little kids were suffering from thirst and diseases caused by mosquitoes, as there was neither water nor electricity in the village.
A video of the incident also surfaced on Monday.
Reacting to the incident, Pritam Lodhi assured that he regularly tours his constituency areas and would do his best to resolve the people’s problems.
