BJP leader CK Padmanabhan calls CPM smoldering volcano

CK Padmanabhan

While inaugurating a election committee office of his party’s Kozhikode North constituency candidate Navya Haridas at Erangipalam on Thursday, former Kerala BJP secretary CK Padmanabhan called the CPM a smoldering volcano.

He said even as the last vestiges of Communism have gone from the world, Pinarayi Vijayan and M V Govindan are trying to look after their own interests.
“The volcano called CPM is about to erupt. It will erupt soon,” he said.

The BJP leader said the CPM state secretary MV Govindan has reached a stage where he had to state ‘kettiyolanu ente malakha’ (my wife is my angel). His vested interests led to the fielding of his wife, P K Shyamala, as CPM candidate in Taliparamba.

Padmanabhan further said that Govindan, who rebelled against the party, knows the secrets of the left party. While Pinarayi Vijayan is trying to secure a continuation in power, leaders like him have raised rebellion against the CPM.

He claimed that the influx from the CPM to the BJP has started and is likely to upset the old-timers in the BJP. “The old-timers in the BJP should remember that there are those among them, who have made party work their livelihood and those who are selling the party to make a living.’
