BJP announces 5 candidates for UP Legislative Council biennial polls

The Bharatiya Janata Party Central Election Committee has approved the names of candidates for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council biennial elections from the Graduate and Teacher constituencies.

The list of candidates was announced on Sunday by Arun Singh, the party’s National General Secretary and Headquarters In-charge.

The BJP has announced candidates for a total of five seats. Avneesh Kumar Singh has been fielded from the Lucknow Graduate Constituency, while Dr. Manvendra Pratap Singh will contest from the Agra Graduate Constituency.

Dr. Hari Singh Dhillon has been named the BJP candidate from the Bareilly-Moradabad Teacher Constituency. Umesh Dwivedi has been fielded from the Lucknow Teacher Constituency, while Shrichand Sharma will contest from the Meerut Teacher Constituency.

With the announcement of candidates, the party has intensified its preparations for the Legislative Council elections in the Graduate and Teacher categories. The polling schedule for these Legislative Council seats is expected to be announced soon.
