After hectic campaigning for INDIA bloc in Bihar, Samajwadi Party National President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday arrived to a warm welcome in Odisha.

Addressing a large rally in support of Samajwadi Party candidate Ramakant Hati in the Naupada Assembly by-election, AkhileshYadav appealed for a landslide victory for SP candidate.

Odisha State In-charge Shri Sunil Singh Sajan was present on the occasion.

Speaking to the media, the SP chief said when he was welcomed with firecrackers, he felt like saying, “It feels like Diwali is still going on, and it should continue, because the verdict in Bihar has already been declared in favour of the Grand Alliance. This time, the Diwali of prosperity will be celebrated there by lighting lanterns. Every village in Bihar will shine.”

Yadav said attention must be paid to ensuring that there are no irregularities in the voter list during the elections. “We have witnessed the BJP’s naked dance. Police prevented people from voting. They were stopped at gunpoint. They were not allowed to vote despite having the slip. The BJP has machines at the polling booths that will create fake Aadhaar cards. The voter list should be such that the voter’s photo can be identified. Efforts should be made to prevent fake Aadhaar cards from being made. Aadhaar is used everywhere, including bank accounts, registries, and passports. Then why doesn’t the Election Commission approve it in the SIR? It would be better if they created a metal Aadhaar card. Everyone should receive an Aadhaar card,” he said.

The SP president said when people see VVPAT slips lying open in Bihar, they will be apprehensive about how the Election Commission will conduct fair elections.

In response to a question, he said that Uttar Pradesh has already revealed its election results in the last Lok Sabha elections. The BJP committed massive fraud in the last election and they discriminated against backward classes, Dalits, tribals, and minorities. They all came together under the umbrella of the PDA and taught the BJP a lesson. The BJP lost the election from the very place where its communal politics began.

He said the BJP government has been in power for 11 years and if infiltrators have come in during these years, the BJP is responsible for it. They will have to answer for it. The BJP government should disclose how many infiltrators came in during its tenure. He said that the BJP focuses more on bribes than on infiltrators.

Akhilesh Yadav said Bihar is going to have a young chief minister. A Grand Alliance government is going to be formed in Bihar. With new energy, young Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav will develop Bihar. Tejashwi will invest Bihar’s money in Bihar. The BJP lent so much public money to industrialists that they kept moving ahead, while Bihar did not develop.
