The Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee on Monday launched its ‘Har Ghar Adhikar’ campaign in Patna, unveiling a set of welfare promises aimed at every household. Framed as key guarantees, the party pledged to implement them if voted to power in the upcoming Assembly elections scheduled for October-November.

Key promises include Rs 2,500 per month under the ‘Mai Bahin Maan Yojana’ (for women), Rs 1,500 per month pension for the elderly and differently-abled, 200 units of free electricity, free health insurance up to Rs 25 lakh, and allocation of up to five decimals of land for housing to landless families.

Additionally, the campaign includes commitments, including a startup fund, lakhs of government jobs, and procurement of crops at MSP (Minimum Support Price), among others.

Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram said that this outreach campaign will begin next month. Today’s launch marks the start of door-to-door engagement.

He further added that the Congress Party will also ensure the Right to Employment and the Right to Healthcare for every citizen.

Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru said that just as Congress has given the people the Right to Education, Right to Food, and Right to Information in the past, it will now work to ensure the Right to Employment and Right to Health in Bihar.

He also emphasised that Congress leaders have consistently interacted with the public and party workers across the state to understand issues and shape their election campaign accordingly.

Krishna Allavaru confirmed that previously launched programmes such as ‘Chaupal’, ‘Mai Bahin Maan Yojana’, and ‘Har Ghar Jhanda’ campaign will continue as before.
