The Crime Branch of Bhopal Police on Tuesday arrested two foreigners, a Thai woman and a Nigerian man, claiming that the duo are involved in the MD drug racket operated by recently arrested drug Mafia Yaseen Ahmed alias Machli.
Accoring to the police, the woman, Benchamat Moon (41), and the man, Orachor Onyeka (34) are involved in sourcing the MD drug from Yaseen and then supplying it in various spas and private parties of the city.
Moon currently resides in the Hoshangabad road area of Bhopal, and moves regularly to New Delhi too. She works at various spa centres of Bhopal. Police said they recovered 2.95 grams of MD drug from her possession.
The police said Onyeka also shuttles between Bhopal and New Delhi, where he has already been booked on charges under IPC Sections 420 (cheating), 467 and 468 (forgery), along with violations of the Foreigners Act, in the past.
The police said Benchamat was earlier booked in Bhopal’s Gandhi Nagar police station under similar charges.
According to Crime Branch Additional DCP Shailendra Singh Chouhan, Moon and Onyeka have been booked under Section 8/22 of the NDPS Act, and investigations are ongoing to uncover the full extent of the international drug racket.
On 22 July, Yaseen alias Machli was arrested with MD drugs, and an illegal pistol. He is currently in jail.
