‘Bengal’s demographic balance disrupted’: PM alleges alliance between infiltrators and TMC

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched a blistering attack on Trinamool Congress and accused the ruling party in West Bengal of having an “alliance” with the infiltrators.

Addressing a rally in Malda, Modi said that the demographic balance in many areas of the state is being disrupted due to illegal infiltration.

“The people here tell me that in many places, even the spoken language is starting to change. In many places, a difference is emerging in the language and dialect,” Modi said.

The PM further added that the increased population of infiltrators has led to a rise in riots in several areas of Bengal, including Malda and Murshidabad.

“You will have to break this alliance between the infiltrators and the ruling party here,” the PM urged.

He assured strict action against infiltrators as soon as the BJP government is formed in the state. “I assure you that as soon as the BJP government is formed, strict action will be taken against infiltration and infiltrators.”

He also coined a slogan – “Paltano darkar, chayee BJP sarkar” – for the BJP ahead of Assembly Elections.

The PM asserted that the development of Eastern India is essential for the developed India goal, accusing the Opposition of keeping the region “shackled” during their decades of rule.

“The BJP has freed these states from the clutches of those who practiced the politics of hate. The trust of the Eastern states, if it is with anyone, then the name of that party is BJP,” he said.

He said that Odisha has formed a BJP government for the first time, Tripura has trusted the BJP for many years, Assam also extended its support to the BJP in the previous elections, and just a few days ago, Bihar too has once again formed a BJP—NDA government.

“In other words, in every direction around Bengal, there is a BJP government known for good governance. Now it’s Bengal’s turn for good governance,” he added.
